Bake and Shot Peen

Heating Block to 650 Degrees for 6 hours Drying all Oil and burning any paint and Silicone. This helps in removal during the shot peen process.
All Blocks need all parts removed. Caps should be marked and will be heated up not connected to the block. This helps remove all oils stuck in the bolt threads.

Any Parts not Dry or with excessive build up will hit with Acetylene Torch before Shot Peened

Magnaflux - Checking for cracks on Ferrous Metals by magnetizing and misting with colored iron dust.

Pressure Check - Checking for cracks on Aluminum and Non-Ferrous Metals by pressurizing the water jackets with Air and dunking them in a tank of water.

At some point a cylinder may get to big or even cracked. Re-Sleeving is a way to get you back to a clean smaller bore.
Most Sleeves need 2 to 5 Thousands interference. Sleeves are chilled and the block warmed to help ease the stress of pressing in the sleeve.

Flat caped rods can be cut back to factory size, However Cracked rods can only be oversized.
Replacing the hardware is also posable on most Connecting Rods.
